Code Compliance
Revision 0.3 · Source-currentness recheck: September 30, 2026 · Controlled review checklist
This is a stand-alone code compliance checklist for this trade, added to the workmanship standards above and to full project-code requirements. It is not a complete trade code manual. It covers reviewed 2016–2026 changes and local implementation events; an older provision newly enforced locally is labeled as implementation, not claimed as newly invented code.

PM
Only affected new, replaced or altered work and legally triggered upgrades are included. The PM selects the applicable legal requirement and the compatible mandatory Anchor overlay before work starts. Unresolved source, limit or listing conflicts remain HOLD, and N/A requires a written reason. Checking a box means the item and its required evidence passed, not merely that it was read.
Where a city's legal minimum is lower, the compatible higher check remains an Anchor standard unless Cory approves a company-only exception. A city's nonadoption alone is not a reason to mark the higher company check N/A; actual scope, technical compatibility and legal/design/listing conflicts must be resolved.
Existing QR phases: QR-09L, QR-18L.
LV-01Stair-door release and power-failure interfaces
Implement and witness simultaneous unlocking without unlatching under the applicable fire-alarm, command/release and power-failure conditions. Preserve free egress under the approved locking arrangement.
- Change / applicability
- 2024 IBC 403.5.3 / 1010.2.6 changes. Affected: electrically locked stair/high-rise doors under the accepted egress design.
- Required record
- Approved cause/effect and point-by-point tests coordinated with door/fire-alarm trades.
- Hold point
- Before system/door use.
LV-02Access-control locking arrangement
Verify the exact permitted locking arrangement and required release sequence rather than assume any access-control system may hold an egress door locked.
- Change / applicability
- 2024 IBC 1010.2.9 update. Affected: access-controlled egress doors.
- Required record
- Approved locking basis, hardware and witness-test matrix.
- Hold point
- Before owner use / final release.
LV-03Energy-lighting control sequence
Program and test the assigned occupancy/manual/daylight/override behavior, including applicable 20-minute off and 24-hour exterior override-return conditions. Document exceptions and commissioning ownership.
- Change / applicability
- 2021/2024 energy-control updates. Affected: lighting or BMS controls assigned to this trade in the accepted energy design.
- Required record
- Controls schedule, programming record and functional tests.
- Hold point
- Before controls closeout.
LV-04Dwelling ventilation control labels
Provide the required labeling and coordinate the safe approved sequence with the HVAC trade.
- Change / applicability
- 2018 IMC 403.3.2.4 addition. Affected: whole-house ventilation controls furnished or programmed by this trade.
- Required record
- Label/sequence and joint function test.
- Hold point
- Before final controls release.

Unverified or failed applicable items block the stated hold point. The subcontractor certifies actual work and evidence; the PM independently verifies and releases after required official inspections. Cory approves only company-standard exceptions, never statutory, permit, design or listing waivers.
Subcontractor certification / date
PM release / date
AHJ / special inspection
Open correction / approved N/A / Anchor-only exception
Applicability Appendix
Record the exact adopted section/amendment, applicable exception, design/product instruction and required test configuration for each item before starting. A model-edition change is not automatically local law, and a local rule exported to another city is an Anchor requirement only when technically compatible and accepted.
This section does not establish an exhaustive all-clause ten-year history or every-city strictness proof. No unverified change is used as a passing criterion; current-only provisions with no demonstrated decade change remain in the full existing acceptance packet rather than falsely appearing here as new changes.
The September 30, 2026 recheck refreshed cited source evidence. A historical source can verify a change without establishing its current local applicability; source recheck is not a project release or a complete clause-by-clause supersession certification.
