Code Compliance
Revision 0.3 · Source-currentness recheck: September 30, 2026 · Controlled review checklist
This is a stand-alone code compliance checklist for this trade, added to the workmanship standards above and to full project-code requirements. It is not a complete trade code manual. It covers reviewed 2016–2026 changes and local implementation events; an older provision newly enforced locally is labeled as implementation, not claimed as newly invented code.

PM
Only affected new, replaced or altered work and legally triggered upgrades are included. The PM selects the applicable legal requirement and the compatible mandatory Anchor overlay before work starts. Unresolved source, limit or listing conflicts remain HOLD, and N/A requires a written reason. Checking a box means the item and its required evidence passed, not merely that it was read.
Where a city's legal minimum is lower, the compatible higher check remains an Anchor standard unless Cory approves a company-only exception. A city's nonadoption alone is not a reason to mark the higher company check N/A; actual scope, technical compatibility and legal/design/listing conflicts must be resolved.
Existing QR phases: QR-12.
IN-01Ceiling insulation increased, then partly relaxed
Install the approved compatible strictness target and document installed depth/density. Evaluate the retained R49 company target rather than automatically reducing to the newest model code's R38.
- Change / applicability
- 2021 CZ2/3 R38→R49; 2024 CZ2/3 R49→R38. Affected: prescriptive ceiling assemblies within the accepted path, local or company scope.
- Required record
- Accepted path/assembly/target, product R-value and installed thickness/density.
- Hold point
- Before cover / final insulation release.
IN-02Envelope testing and path-specific leakage limits
Complete the required 50-Pa test and apply the accepted limit: reviewed CZ2 prescriptive maximum 4 ACH50, with separate performance/ERI and small/attached-unit alternatives. Record the actual volume/enclosure basis and all approved exceptions.
- Change / applicability
- 2024 residential energy-code update. Affected: tested dwelling/building scope.
- Required record
- Signed test, units/denominator, selected path/limit and corrected/retest evidence.
- Hold point
- Before energy final.
IN-03Ventilation / air-sealing package coordination
Coordinate the continuous thermal/air boundary and accepted mechanical ventilation. Deliver the required measure/test result and obtain redesign approval before substitution.
- Change / applicability
- 2021 package and 2024 credit-path updates. Affected: selected air-sealing/ventilation efficiency measures.
- Required record
- Assigned measure, pre-cover photo map and accepted test/ventilation reports.
- Hold point
- Before drywall and energy final.
IN-04Ventilation opening locations
Keep lower vents in the approved bottom-third layout and preserve the full required exception conditions. Insulation and baffles cannot invalidate the roof vent calculation.
- Change / applicability
- 2018 IRC attic-vent reduction update. Affected: vented attics using reduced net-free vent area.
- Required record
- Roof vent calculation, applicable climate-zone conditions and baffle/inlet/outlet photos.
- Hold point
- Before attic closure.
Evidence and Release Record

| IN-03 | Not verified | | | |
| IN-04 | Not verified | | | |
Unverified or failed applicable items block the stated hold point. The subcontractor certifies actual work and evidence; the PM independently verifies and releases after required official inspections. Cory approves only company-standard exceptions, never statutory, permit, design or listing waivers.
Subcontractor certification / date
PM release / date
AHJ / special inspection
Open correction / approved N/A / Anchor-only exception
Applicability Appendix
Record the exact adopted section/amendment, applicable exception, design/product instruction and required test configuration for each item before starting. A model-edition change is not automatically local law, and a local rule exported to another city is an Anchor requirement only when technically compatible and accepted.
This section does not establish an exhaustive all-clause ten-year history or every-city strictness proof. No unverified change is used as a passing criterion; current-only provisions with no demonstrated decade change remain in the full existing acceptance packet rather than falsely appearing here as new changes.
The September 30, 2026 recheck refreshed cited source evidence. A historical source can verify a change without establishing its current local applicability; source recheck is not a project release or a complete clause-by-clause supersession certification.
